Reiki I/II with Lisa Pearl-Edwards
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by a "laying on of hands" and is based on the idea that there an unseen "life force energy" that flows through us and around us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, if it is high, we are more capable of feeling happy and healthy.
Reiki treats the whole person: body, mind, emotion and spirit. It is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self improvement that everyone can use and learn. It can be used for self-healing, healing others, pets, plants, food, situations plus much more.
Reiki is passed on to the student in the form of an "attunement" given by the Reiki Master. The attunement involves the opening of the spiritual channel, through the crown chakra, in the student, to allow them to channel the "life force energy". Each level involves an attunement.
Level I students will learn:
- What Reiki is
- History of Reiki
- Scanning and traditional hand positions for self-healing and the healing of others
Level II students will:
- Receive 3 Reiki symbols during the attunement
- Learn how to do a complete treatment with symbols
- Learn how to send Reiki at a distance
