Suzanne Dumas, LCSW

Suzanne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, certified in Brainspotting, who specializes in working with individuals who are overwhelmed by anxiety and depression due to daily stressors, complicated relationships, life changes, loss or trauma that has taken root deep within.

Drawing upon various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a focus on Brainspotting, Suzanne will help you manifest the change you desire in a welcoming, safe and nonjudgmental space. Together, you can heal emotional wounds, rediscover your strength and tap into your brain’s natural ability to release and resolve that which is no longer serving you on your path.

Brainspotting is a relational, brain-body therapy that goes beyond your logical “thinking brain” and bypasses to the seat of where memories and feelings live in your subcortical midbrain. Suzanne received her Masters in Social Work from New York University in 2008 and has over 17 years of Social Work experience working with adults, children and families in a variety of settings. She currently provides short-term therapy at Montefiore Medical Group. She is passionate about empowering others to heal, grow, and discover their path towards happiness and wellness.
